Deep Heart Listening

Deep Listening is the ability to listen from a deep, receptive place, creating a safe, non-judgmental environment in which to work.  When we are faced with those painful, tender, often traumatic situations, safety is mandatory.  Deep heart listening is a gentle, supportive approach to resolving life’s issues.

The unexpected action of Deep Listening can create a space of transformation capable of shattering complacency and despair.

Terry Tempest Williams

The truth is we already have the answers we seek and when we allow ourselves to come to rest, real solutions become available.  No, this is not always easy to do, especially when past trauma is triggered.  Cultivating the habit of looking within for the answers rather than searching outside of ourselves, empowers us, giving us the ability to create real lasting change.

The highest happiness is when one reaches the stage of liberation, at which there is no more suffering.

Dalai Lama

The very definition of suffering is simply pushing away, resisting what is here.  Pain, disappointment, dissatisfaction, frustration, failure, etc., are all part of life and, short of living in a cave and being completely isolated, cannot be avoided.  However, we do not need to be victimized by life’s pitfalls.  Let me be clear here, I am not offering an end to the anger or sadness or fear or any other difficult emotion, these emotions naturally arises when pain is present.  I am, however, offering a safe and incredibly powerful way to be with these feelings, a way to end the suffering.  And isn’t that what we really want?

To be kind is more important than to be right. Many times, what people need is not a brilliant mind that speaks but a special heart that listens. Brigette Hyacinth

My invitation is simple, take my hand, together we will walk this path to Freedom.
