By planting seeds of Love!
We’re here to awaken from the illusion of separateness.
Ram Dass
Here in the midst of this pandemic crisis we stand witness to many many acts of unconditional love – first responders, nurses, doctors, clerks and janitors, to name a few – all doing their best, often risking their own lives, to help others – this is love.
And then there are the many who, despite the all consuming fear that is as pervasive as the virus, are willing to stand in the fire of that fear, again and again – this is courage.
This loving kindness, this bravery – this is planting seeds of love. And, more than anything, this is what will sustain us – because this willingness to meet what is arising–until it softens and dissolves–is where real change happens. And isn’t that what we are looking for: change, real, authentic, meaningful change?
When the faith is strong enough, it is sufficient just to be. It’s a journey towards simplicity, towards quietness, towards a kind of joy that is not in time.
Ram Dass
This simplicity is not just the idea of simplifying life – although that’s a great, beneficial thing to do for everyone. This is the simplicity that naturally arises within quietness, the simplicity that is here once we are at rest within and begin to identify with our own Divine nature. This is the beginning of true peace, a beautiful, undeniably valuable gift to all.
Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being.
Ram Dass
Spiritual teacher, Ram Dass
April 6, 1931 – December 22, 2019
Spiritual teacher Ram Dass defines unconditional love as love for no reason – noting that love is who we are – it is not something we deserve, nor is it something we earn. It is who we are and the more we recognize this Truth, the more we come to know that spaciousness, that rest, that is our True Nature.
Remember, we are all just walking each other home, back to where we belong, This is embracing our inherent wisdom, returning home, again and again.
