You and I

You and I

We shared adventures, didn’t we?

We traveled.

We laughed.

We cried.

We fought and we made love.

You and I.

Old, old Souls, you and I

Finding one another again

I knew your every breath

You knew my every sigh

Love reborn after lifetimes

You and I

Mornings hot tub, sipping steamy coffee

Sun awakens from her slumber,

Yawns, stretches, laughs

Moon quietly, gently tucking her stars in,

Whispering, sleep well.

Hot tub and wine before bed,

Sun retires, turning her watch over to moon

Moon nudges stars,

Inviting, prompting the twinkle of light

Magic envelops, warming us in this soft web

Of love

Our love, you and I

Our space.

Our sacred piece of heaven.

That you crafted.

To hold me.

Purple cone flowers (hot tub in background)

Fields of flowers,

brilliant blues and charismatic purples

Yellows, reds, nobel whites

Wild emerald green grasses

Pinon, Juniper, Sage paint the landscape

All the while dancing and nodding

Laughing, singing, praising life

Singing our song of love,

Cause love, that’s you and I

This is the home that love built.

Your love. And mine.

Divinely guided to

Weave your story into mine,

Mine into yours.

We climbed rolling hills,

Traversed steep mountains.

We rafted and floated and drifted

We paddled and pushed and pulled

Even when it wasn’t, life was always breezy

Today, your body is gone; they only last so long

But you and I,

Well, as the song goes,

They can’t take that away from us

We get to go on through eternity

You and I.

Now I drift,

Patiently waiting

For the next boat home.

Happy Anniversary to

You and I

  1. You two together showed my kids how a happy, strong marriage works. You taught so many people about Love. What a great poem, what happy memories

    1. Thank you, Ann, for reading. This poem was written by my guides, honest. I was trying to write something else and the lines here just kept tickling me. So I stopped and put fingers to the keys and this is what happened. Craig totally loved you and your children. I’m sure he’s watching over you all now.
      Big love!

  2. Thank you for touching my heart and life with the Grace and Beauty of profound Love. Overflowing love and tenderness, Lee. 🤍🙏
